MSL (quantize=:bar/beat) for any Track

When testing a script earlier:

in all
Mute(quantize=:bar),

I noticed that the quantize command only applied to tracks that were already set to Host Sync. On other tracks set to Leader=Loop, the quantize did not take effect.

It's a very trivial detail, but for this use case it would be nice if the quantize in parenthesis could obey Host Sync pulses for any track that has Sync Source set to something other than Host. Not sure if that was the original intention or something that may have been passed over when adding Leader/Followers in the newer builds.

This would also apply for the "wait" statement, fwiw. For example, "wait bar" on a track with Sync=LeaderLoop would wait a full host bar in the script.

Yeah, this is related to some of the unfinished stuff around sync.

I'd like for any loop to have the concepts of beat, bar, tempo calculated automatically even if they are not using host or midi sync. I have to do this anyway if you want the loop to generate midi clocks, so it may as well happen all the time, then you can use bar as a quantization point consistently everywhere if you want to.

In the case of follower tracks that were recorded against the leader, with the leader using HostSync, they would effectively inherit the bar length from the leader which got it from the host so it would feel like it is doing host sync.
Thinking about it, that may not be enough. It is probably necessary to be able to say "do this on the next host bar, regardless of how this loop was recorded".

That’s sort of how I read it as well. It would be, as you said, like every Loop is constantly monitoring Host pulses behind the default sync settings.
