I have a question/bug report around the Multiply function:
What I am trying to do is this:
Record one loop of this length
1 2
this is also the leader loop.
on another track I now record a loop that contains multiples of the first one, so that the result is this:
1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2
1 2 3 4 5 678
Now I would like to cut out the beginning and the end of the longer loop, e.g. discard 1 2 as well as 7 8 and continue to work with
1 2 1 2
3 4 5 6
using the quantized multiply function.
The script I use is a script that Jeff translated into msl for me - the "wait last" statement helps me to send midi light CCs to a footpedal so that I know that Mobius WILL multiply the next time the leader loop starts.
#name Multiply and Signal
#focused
if mode == :Record mode == 😛lay isOverdub {
MidiOut(:control 0 111 01)
MidiOut(:control 0 22 01)
Multiply
wait last
MidiOut(:control 0 110 01)
MidiOut(:control 0 20 00)
MidiOut(:control 0 22 02)
MidiOut(:control 0 21 00)
MidiOut(:control 0 111 00)
}
else {
MidiOut(:control 0 111 01)
Play
wait last
MidiOut(:control 0 22 00)
MidiOut(:control 0 110 01)
MidiOut(:control 0 111 00)
}
It works in a way - out of the longer loop I get the numbers 3 4 5 6 - and it is also in sync, BUT the resulting audio sounds not cleanly cut, especially at the END of the resulting loop - as if it had copied a small portion of the audio that happened right after me pressing the trigger and before multiply started into the resulting loop. Which means that the resulting audio cannot really be used.
Did anyone come across something similar?
