Jeff, what do you think about adding support for Mobius to sync to incoming System Real Time messages, such as Start/Continue/Stop, either via Host- or some other virtual MIDI transport? The vision here, for example, is to have the (optional) ability to stop loop playback with the DAW or MIDI-source's Stop button. Then, you can play them from the beginning with one grand press of the Play button. Following a Continue command could also be cool for pausing both Mobius and Host playback together in the same place, but might be tricky with synchronization. The most useful aspect of this feature though is for moments when you need to work on something in your DAW (settings or plugins) and need a general restart where everything begins together without having to do any realign acrobatics.

As an added feature, you could maybe even add the option to follow SRT commands on a track-by-track basis, so that when MIDI Stop is sent from a source for example, only say, tracks 1, 3, and 5, would oblige and the rest could continue playing. That might be fun if you have a drum backing track playing in your DAW and want to stop it with some tracks and just leave a few ambient loops that diminuendo in style.

Currently, there is a way to do this with a MIDI controller, where you can bind to both the stop button in your host as well as a "stop button" script I've designed, but it would be much easier if Mobius could work the same way most hardware loopers do with transport.
