Rec/Play Script?

NickDomingoMusic What I'm lost on is he is in overdub while in Mode in the 2min mark?

eirgo_s Yeah, I think he hit the “rec/play” button once to play all the tracks again then went into Overdub mode on a quick second press.

The thing I was talking about is around the 2:08 mark where he brings the vocal track in and out while doing the guitar percussion in Overdub mode. Which shouldn’t be possible. Then again, he’s running a custom VST so I guess this is programmed to his specs based on Mobius’ workflow, somehow.

Also, I believe the mode button lets him switch between “Play mode” and “Record mode”

eirgo_s Wait, do I need to modify the UI for this to work? Because I’m worried I might break something due to not knowing what I’m doing 😅

trevorn1 I think I might've figured out some kinda workaround. But I'm curious about @eirgo_s scripts. Cuz it involves modifying the UI library. At least, I think it does.

Sorry for the delay, I have a lot of catching up to do here.

I'm not sure why it does that, but the script that has InstallUIElement is perfectly safe, it's a somewhat experimental feature to add custom elements to the UI for simple status lights and other things. I'm honestly surprised someone found that because I haven't talked about it in a very long time.

jeff Okay. Thank you, Jeff. The “export variable” scripts are safe as well, right?

NickDomingoMusic yes, nothing i saw looked unusual. They use some of the more advanced features, but all fine.

jeff Awesome. So, where do I install the UI element and export variable scripts?

EDIT: I figured out how to use the new scripts. Everything works!
